Find your best fit and put your enthusiasm and passion for the community to work by joining a Wichita nonprofit in accomplishing its mission. 

After completing Board Placement 101, interested members move on to the next tier of the program, Board Placement Speed Networking. This event provides members an opportunity to personally connect to representatives from local nonprofits in an environment similar to speed dating. Like speed dating, all attendees are expected to meet with all nonprofits.

1. During the event, the nonprofits and YPs meet for a limited time to ask questions and share about themselves.
2. At the end of the event, both the nonprofit representatives and YPW members turn in interest forms selecting their preferred candidates/nonprofits.
3. After the event, we match those who have common interest and pass the contact information of the individuals to the nonprofits to continue the process of getting the YP involved on its board.

All attending nonprofits are listed at the bottom of this event. We strongly encourage you to review their websites to come prepared with questions for each organization. And come with an open mind, because you will be meeting with all nonprofits in attendance!

This event is limited to 15 nonprofits and 15 YPs. This is a very structured event, and it is important to the overall flow of the evening that you arrive no later than 5:30 p.m.

The Board Placement Program (for YPW members only) is a two-part series and we require that you attend both events to 1) get the full scope of responsibilities involved with sitting on a Board and to 2) network with participating nonprofits. The first event is Board Placement 101; the second, this Board Placement Networking event. All members interested in attending this Speed Networking event should have attended a previous 101 event in the past year.
