The 2016 Kansas YP Summit is being held in Wichita, KS for the first time! The theme of the 7th annual Summit is “Taking Flight and Changing Tomorrow.” This year’s theme is all about creating something that soars more than you can imagine. The Summit will encourage young professionals to find their passion and determine how to bridge the generational gap in order to create viable steps that will assist in revitalization of Kansas communities, with the ultimate goal of creating social change across the state.

New York Times Bestselling author Jon Acuff is the 2016 keynote speaker. Acuff has authored five books, including his most recent publication, “Do Over: Rescue Monday, Reinvent Your Work and Never Get Stuck.”  Sharing his insight into the best way to navigate an ever-changing technological environment, he’ll share his philosophy for approaching change as an opportunity rather than a challenge. Follow Acuff on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook @JonAcuff and welcome him to Wichita.  Multiple breakout sessions  will be offered on topics including personal/professional development, bridging generational gaps, capitalizing on YP’s passions, and YP’s roles in economic development/job growth.

A pre-summit social will be held on Thursday, April 21 at the ICT Urban Pop Up Park from 5:30 p.m to 8:00 p.m.; it will offer a chance for young professionals to network and socialize with peers from across the state while enjoying this unique park in the middle of downtown Wichita.

The 2016 Kansas YP Summit is scheduled for April 22, at the Hyatt Regency Wichita. The registration fee is $50 early bird/$60 and includes the pre-summit social, breakfast and lunch on the date of the summit. If individuals are unable to attend the whole summit but would still like to hear the keynote presentation, tickets are offered at $25 early bird/$30 for the keynote luncheon only.
