Have you thought about applying for a board position, but weren’t sure what it would entail? Join us at our Board Placement 101 to learn about what expectations come with serving on an nonprofits board.
You will have the opportunity to learn from a panel of young professionals with board experience. Based on your questions, the panel will give their advice and share their own personal experiences sitting on nonprofit boards across the city.

W’s Board Placement Program (for W and ICT UP members only) is a two-part series and we require that you attend both events to 1) get the full scope of responsibilities involved when sitting on a Board and to 2) network with participating nonprofits. The first event is this Board Placement 101; the second, Board Placement Speed Networking. We require that all interested members attend a 101 event prior to attending the Speed Networking.
