$1Young Professionals of Wichita reserved all 10 sand volleyball courts at O.J. Watson Park for a fun, all-ages outdoor mingle! Ditch the business casual attire and come ready to play in a friendly game of sand volleyball. No volleyball experience required. This will be a non-competitive event with Action Team Volunteers in attendance to help periodic rotation of teams to help facilitate networking.
Not a volleyball fan? No problem! Spectators are welcome to join us for networking with local young professionals. We will have shade tents for everyone to relax and have a great time networking
YPW has teamed up with Lolo’s Crepes and BS Sandwich Press food trucks that will be conveniently parked in the lot right by the volleyball area for additional food purchases. So bring your volleyball, lawn chairs, and an appetite for food, fun and networking!
Cost: This event has a $1 cash cover charge for all attendees at registration the day of the mingle. Please pre-register before the deadline to help with flow of check in. We will except walk-ups that evening with the same $1 cash cover charge.
Attire: Bring a change of clothes with you to work today! You’ll want to wear something that is appropriate for outside activities in the Kansas summer weather.
Location: We will be at the sand volleyball courts in the northwest corner of the park.
Parking: We recommend entering from the McLean Blvd entrance, taking the fork to the right, and proceeding to the dead end parking lot adjacent to the volleyball courts. Check the map below to get a visual.
REGISTER – Registration closes June 14 at 5 p.m.
All attendees will pay a $1 cash cover charge at registration the day of the event.
If you are a summer intern, please go here to get more details and register.

Our featured nonprofit for the month is TFI Family Services – a child placing agency which provides several levels of foster care services.
A child is placed in the State’s care when a court determines the child’s home life is dangerous, inappropriate, unhealthy, or when the child’s behaviors cannot be managed at home. Many children have experienced lives of abuse and/or neglect. With more than 7,000 children under protective custody of the state, the need for Kansas foster parents is greater than ever. To find out more about how to become a foster parent in Kansas please visit www.tfifamilyservices.org or call 1-800-279-9914.
