Meet your candidates running for local offices. Wichita Urban Professionals and Young Professionals of Wichita have teamed up to host another meet and greet event to give you the chance to get to know who you’ll be voting for on November 7.

Local elections are incredibly important and those elected will have a large impact on your daily lives, yet voter turnout in the last local election was only 16%.

Join us on October 24 at Rock Island Live from 5:30 p.m. -7 p.m. for a chance to hear from and mingle with the candidates for Wichita City Council. (Enter through the Emerson Biggins entrance off Douglas and proceed through the hallway to RIL in the back.)

The schedule for the event will be:

5:30-6:00 p.m. – Arrival and mingle
6:00-6:30 p.m. – Brief comments from each candidate
6:30-7:00 p.m. – Additional time to meet and mingle with the candidates

REGISTER – registration closes October 23. Walk ups are welcome.
