The Board Placement Program (for YPW members only) is a two-part series and we ask that you attend both events to get the full scope of responsibilities required to sit on a Board and to network with participating nonprofits. The first event is Board Placement 101; the second, this Board Placement Networking event. All members interested in attending this Speed Networking event should have attended a previous 101 event in the past year.

YPW Board Placement Speed Networking

This event allows you to meet a representative from each organization that has open positions on their boards. These nonprofits have approached YPW with a desire to put a young professional on their boards/committees and are very excited to network with possible candidates. This is a great opportunity to get a “feel” for each organization and ask questions.

At the end of the evening, both the nonprofits and members will have the opportunity to indicate which organizations/individuals they would like to connect with for further exploration. YPW volunteers and staff will notify the nonprofit representatives of interested YPW members, and the nonprofits will then follow up.

This event is limited to 16 nonprofits and 16 YPs.
