FreeFind your best fit and put your enthusiasm and passion for the community to work by joining a Wichita nonprofit in accomplishing its mission.
This event allows you to meet a representative from each organization that has open positions on their boards. These nonprofits have approached YPW with a desire to put a young professional on their boards/committees and are very excited to network with possible candidates. This is a great opportunity to get a feel for each organization and ask questions.
All attending nonprofits are listed at the bottom of this event. We strongly encourage you to review their websites to come prepared with questions for each organization. And come with an open mind, because you will be meeting with all nonprofits in attendance!
At the end of the evening, both the nonprofits and members will have the opportunity to indicate which organizations/individuals they would like to connect with for further exploration. YPW volunteers and staff will notify the nonprofit representatives of interested YPW members, and the nonprofits will then follow up.
This event is limited to 14 nonprofits and 14 YPs. This is a very structured event, and it is important to the overall flow of the evening that you arrive no later than 5:30 p.m.

The Board Placement Program (for YPW members only) is a two-part series and we require that you attend both events to 1) get the full scope of responsibilities involved with sitting on a Board and to 2) network with participating nonprofits. The first event is Board Placement 101; the second, this Board Placement Networking event. All members interested in attending this Speed Networking event should have attended a previous 101 event in the past year.
