Rethinking Wichita
Thu, Oct 28 · 10:30a – 1:00p
Join us for a mid-day expedition of urban development and civic inspiration. As part of Friends University’s “Rethinking Wichita” Conference with Strong Towns author Charles Marohn, this tour will showcase how Wichita is changing the way it lives, works, plays, and moves.
You will have the opportunity to visit 3 Wichita sites including NoMar International Plaza, the future sites of the Kansas Health Science Center and National Institute for Culinary and Hospitality Education (NICHE), and the planned Delano Multimodal Center. Additionally, we will hear from local insiders and stakeholders at each stop to understand the direction of development in each area.
The tour of our city will conclude at the Monarch around 1pm, where participants are encouraged to grab lunch before going to the conference at 2pm if you choose.
Don’t miss out. Register today.
You will have about 25 minutes to travel between sites and are encouraged to carpool or take public transportation if possible. Bike Walk Wichita will also be leading a group for those who wish to bike.
