Taking a modern twist on traditional tea time, Simply a Lady Co. is throwing out the rules of proper tea etiquette, providing guests instead with an eccentric evening out and an opportunity to give back!

Proceeds from this event will provide tea party presentations to students who attend Title I schools in the Wichita Public School District. Title 1, a program established by the U.S. Department of Education in 1965, distributes additional funding to schools with a high percentage of low-income students.

Studies have proven that when children are provided with more exposure to positive social environments, the future of the economy improves. In the words of Justice Clarence Thomas, “good manners will open doors that the best education can not.”

Simply A Lady Co., a 2018 YPW Innovations in Business Award nominee, provides table etiquette lessons to youth and adults disguised as an interactive tea party filled with activities and lessons. The presentations help develop communication skills, social skills, and confidence. Studies show that students who are in a positive atmosphere thrive in school and in life. The issue in today’s society is that most students and even adults do not know the art of manners and etiquette to enhance that positive and respectful atmosphere.
