Apr 1, 2016, 7:00 pm–9:00 pm
Free – $5Registration for this event is closed due to being sold out. We will begin accepting walk-ups for $5 at the door at 7:45 p.m. as capacity allows. If you didn’t get signed up and are still interested in being part of the conversation, join YPW Board Chair Sam Foreman at Emmerson Biggins Old Town (just across the street!) in the middle bar area. No free drinks, but great conversation! We also encourage you to join in the conversation online using #WhineAboutWichita (for improvement areas) and #ILoveWichita (for the things you already love).
You’re invited to downtown’s historic Union Station to whine about Wichita and toast the town. We’re partnering with Wheat State Wine Co. to provide wine samples you can sip while you debate the best and worst of our city’s past, present and future. The night’s main activity will be centered around the collection of ideas and information about what Wichita is doing right and how it can be better. Attendees are encouraged to come with a thirst for wine and an appetite for discussion.
The information collected will help YPW develop priorities for future action and initiatives to help accomplish our mission of affecting positive change for a brighter future.
Due to massive interest we’re expanding the number of registrations! The first 75 people to register will be free, then will be $3 for YPW Members and $5 for non YPW Members.
Please note this event is for ages 21 and up.
Thanks to Wheat State Wine Co. for providing samples.
Respecting the privacy of all members, YPW discourages the solicitation of goods; services; and educational, promotional, or employment opportunities at all YPW events, activities, and programs. In short, please bring your business cards, not your brochures, samples, or other promotional items.
