The Wichita Industry Research Exchange (WIRE) is an annual community event featuring university and industry research and dialogue that addresses important business and industry issues and trends throughout the region and state. This year’s topic is Captivating the Creative Class. Dr. Timothy Craft and Dr. Sai Srithongrung will provide the economic data that drives communities to work on attracting and retaining the creative class. Then a panel will address the following:

• Developing a talent pool
• Attracting the “Creative Class”
• Remaining competitive with financial/non-financial benefits
• Adjusting to cultural incongruencies
• Discussing why social diversity is important
• Identifying unique strengths
• Understanding workplace preferences
