Spotlight 52
Young Professionals of Wichita is a membership organization with over 3,700 members. Our mission is to attract, retain, and engage diverse young talent to affect positive change for a brighter future. These members vary in terms of racial and ethnic diversity, place of employment, political thought, marital status, and a plethora of other factors which makes each one of them unique. For too long we have believed that to be considered a “professional” we need to fit into a certain mold. A mold that is stale, replicable, and dull.
We are challenging those preconceived notions through a video series called Spotlight 52. YPW has partnered with the MAD Ad Company to produce weekly videos that highlight individuals who are redefining what it means to be a “professional”. We will be featuring YPs who are working in diverse industries, creating an impact in our city, and changing the fabric of our community.
Beginning on January 8, 2019, YPW will be sharing these stories every Tuesday for 52 weeks. We believe any person – whether you wear a suit or scrubs, work downtown or have a mobile office, sit at a computer or get your hands dirty – is worthy of the title of “professional”.
