Community Service Superstars
Congratulations to our fourth quarter Community Service Superstars! They will receive a free oil change courtesy of Davis–Moore Automotive.
YPW Service Superstar: Camille Gaddis
Camille Gaddis joined YPW in July 2014 and is currently the secretary for the Community Relations team. She has enjoyed collaborating with the Enhance Community Project for the community celebration and attending Kansas Food Bank events. Being a part of YPW has given Camille unique volunteer experiences and the opportunity to meet new people. She is proud to be a part of an organization with culturally and professionally diverse members.
After graduating college, Camille returned to her hometown of Wichita and started working at Wesley Rehabilitation Hospital as Registered Nurse. She moved back to Wichita so she could make the community a better place and help those in need. She enjoys spending time in the beautiful parks in Wichita and visiting new restaurants.
Community Service Superstar: Dustin Kuhn
Dustin Kuhn is a long-time Wichita resident who has served the community in many different capacities. His journey of community involvement began through the YPW Board Placement Program where he connected with the American Diabetes Association. “I am someone who likes staying busy so from there my involvement has just snowballed into where I am today.” Other organizations include Rotary Club of Wichita, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Sigma Phi Epsilon Alumni Board at WSU, Air Capital Cosmo Club and coaching football at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Last year he participated in the “Wichita’s Finest Campaign” which is a fundraising competition for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. For this unique challenge, Dustin started a letter writing campaign, solicited donations through social media, utilized a matching gift campaign through work and secured auction items for the Wine Opener event at Century II. All of Dustin’s hard work and dedication raised $4500 for the organization.
Living in Wichita gives Dustin a sense of pride and he enjoys the people around him. “Wichita is a city full of many great individuals who enjoy giving back so it is nice to get to meet so many people who share common goals through my volunteer work.” He also enjoys all of the events and quality of life that Wichita has to offer. Dustin is a Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and “enjoys each and every day in the city.”
