Young Professionals of Wichita Launches Mentoring Program
to Connect Young Talent to Wichita Leaders

Wichita, Kan. – Young Professionals of Wichita (YPW) is launching a Group Mentoring Program in Fall 2016 to address two factors – providing connection to key leaders who can be professional mentors and strengthening YPs’ professional connections with a small group of like-minded individuals.

Opportunity for career advancement is the most important factor local young professionals consider in choosing a place to move to and stay, according to a survey of more than 300 YPs in 2015. This program will provide young professionals facetime with some of Wichita’s key leaders, giving them the opportunity to learn from them firsthand. Mentors will have the opportunity to develop the next generation of Wichita leaders, give back to the community, get to know YPs and gain insight into younger generations.

Program protégés will determine the group agenda so that they can gain more experience leading the conversation and more effectively engage with the mentors. YPW members can apply to be a protégé at YPW’s website through August 10. The program begins with a kick-off event on September 13 at the National Center for Aviation Training.

·         Tammy Allen, AGH | VP of Marketing
